When Lisa Marie Odgers was 18 years old, she expressed her desire to be a donor if anything should happen to her. Not long after, she died in an auto accident on May 28, 2004. “Lisa had donated blood the year before, and she thought it was pretty cool, although a little painful,” said her mother Diane. “So when I got the call that no parent should ever get, I knew one thing for certain: I would donate what I could because that is what Lisa would have wanted.” Lisa’s giving and nurturing spirit continue to live on in her family and the people she touched throughout her life.
