From the time he was a toddler, Paul Price loved flags. Even when he came home from college on breaks, he raised and lowered the flag at his parents’ house.
On February 22, 2004, Paul suffered a fatal head injury at age 21. His gift of organs, tissue and corneas brought life to more than 50 people. One of those to benefit was an immigrant from Liberia, West Africa, named Joseph, who received Paul’s liver. Joseph and Paul’s mother have met and now speak together at high schools to inspire students to donate life.
For the past five years, each September has seen a memorial golf tournament held in his memory. An event committee of family and friends established a non-profit organization and has raised more than $130,000 towards a goal of $180,000 to build a weight room addition at Westerville South High School, Paul's alma mater.
