Quincy Greer was the eldest of seven children. He loved learning and graduated from high school at the top of class, even taking college AP classes. At home, he had two dogs and two cats, and raised a pig and a goat in high school as part of the Future Farmers of America program.

Because of his love of animals, Quincy worked at a pet store while attending College of the Desert in the Coachella Valley. He also enjoyed drawing, and cartoons were his specialty. Quincy was interested in wrestling and had a fascination with Japanese culture. He was planning to travel to Japan and was teaching himself Japanese through CD’s.

“Quincy was the love of our lives,” acknowledged his mother Pamela. “He was a smart and very funny boy. I call him a ‘boy,’ but actually, he had just turned into a man of 21 when he died in a fatal auto accident on March 4, 2008. He will always be our little boy.”

Pamela said that “Our decision to have him be an organ donor was a very difficult one, but everyone at the hospital was very kind and explained everything to us. Quincy had told a friend that if something should ever happen, he would want to donate what he could and save a life. He ended up saving seven lives. It really gives me comfort knowing that a part of him is living on.”
