Dennis Rivetti was only 48 when he died of a brain aneurysm on February 5, 2004. His wife Patti took comfort that Dennis was a donor. “Five people had a chance to continue their dreams,” she notes. The Rivetti family has met Dennis’ heart recipient, who has a young son; the two families are now friends. Patti believes that “if one beautiful life cannot be here anymore such as it was for Dennis, then that life should be passed on to other beautiful lives through the donation of organs and tissue.”
