Steve was a man of great faith in Christ who dedicated himself to his son, wife, niece and family. Steve was committed to working and serving others. He was the youngest plant manager of a highly successful manufacturing company in Corona, Calif. He loved golf, basketball, football and baseball. Steve played his guitar to relax in the evenings when he got home from work.
It was Steve’s supreme joy to read Bible stories to his 8-month-old son Ethan before he was put to bed for the night. He taught the values he believed in to junior high school students at his church in Riverside.
Steve is deeply missed and has not been forgotten for even one moment. “After six years, it is difficult for us to describe his lasting legacy of love,” said his mother Tish. “He was a blessing and a gift to our family for twenty-nine years.”
After Steve died at Loma Linda University Medical Center on February 2, 2003, he became an organ donor and helped to extend the lives of six men. In recent years Steve’s family had an opportunity to meet one of Steve’s lung recipients. It was a great joy to meet the recipient and see his smiling, grateful face. It is comforting to his family to know that his gift of life lives on in the lives of others. |
