ADRIAN’S STORY

Thoughtful, outgoing, passionate, charismatic and with an enthusiasm for life that shined through everything he did. Adrian loved spending time with his family, playing baseball, snowboarding and he loved his beagle, Ziggy. Adrian was an avid gardener and his family enjoyed many dinners with his home-grown vegetables. Adrian loved the ocean and kept a live reef aquarium in his family's home.

With his strong work ethic at 20 years old, he became the youngest in his company to achieve top seller in the country. Adrian was in college with plans to pursue a career in chemical engineering.

In November of 2013, Adrian told his mom he wanted to be an organ donor. Two months later, Adrian started having flu like symptoms and tragically passed away to meningitis at 22 years old. On January 19, 2014, Adrian was able to donate his lungs, liver and kidneys to three people. His parents have met and have a close relationship with his double lung recipient.

Through his decision, Adrian has inspired family and friends to be registered organ donors. "Everyone smiles in the same language" was a favorite quote of Adrian's. He indeed had a genuine and contagious smile. He continues to smile knowing that he was able to help others.
