EILEEN’S STORY
Eileen Angelina Limon was born on April 13, 1961, and was a loving daughter, sister, and mother. Her proudest moments were the days her grandchildren were born. Eileen resided in the city of Downey, California with her beloved dog Clue. Eileen was adored by all who met her and had a smile that would light up a room. She was deeply passionate about her faith and was an active church member. Eileen was genuinely kind and unselfishly devoted to the welfare of others. Her greatest joy was to help a friend in need. If there was an obstacle that stood in her way of helping, she always found a way. So, it was no surprise when she expressed that she wanted to help others upon her death if she had the opportunity. Eileen had registered herself as an organ, eye, and tissue donor. Inspired by her sister who is employed by OneLegacy, Eileen herself became a champion for donation until her own unexpected passing in August of 2019 due to a pulmonary embolus. Eileen provided a light in the darkness for two special people who received her corneas and because of her generosity others can see clearly again. Whether it is the father who can once again see every detail of his child's face or the woman who can read an old love letter from her husband who has passed. Eileen gave the gift of eyesight by becoming a tissue donor and those recipients who received her corneas are living life with a special sparkle in their eyes.
