LOGAN’S STORY
Logan’s smile could light up a room and make you want to smile back. His smile was a window to his personality. Words like adventurous, brave, dependable, easy going, friendly, funny, generous, hardworking, helpful, intelligent, kind, loving, optimistic, and protective come to mind when describing Logan. Logan was the most loving, giving, and kindhearted individual that would do anything for anyone. With his 6’ 3” height and broad shoulders, his hugs were like a blanket woven together with love and protection.
Logan had a strong work ethic and enjoyed his job. In discussing different job opportunities, his one requirement was that he work with people. He loved interacting with and helping others. His charisma drew you in like a magnet.
He enjoyed most anything outside with hunting and fishing being his favorite. We always knew that when he went outdoors, he would come back with a great story and something to put in the freezer. He had a wealth of knowledge about deer, their habits and habitats. Every time I see a deer, I think of him. Logan’s proudest moments were when he became a daddy. He always spoke with pride, love and devotion when speaking of Anthony and Liam. These two boys have much to be proud of in their dad.
On May 15, 2019, Logan sent me a text and told me that he had been attending church and on this day at the end of the service, the pastor invited those that wanted to pray to come forward. Logan responded to the tug on his heart from the Lord and went forward to pray. Logan gained a peace that day that was evident to those around him.
Though Logan’s presence is not with us physically, he is continually present in our hearts and in our thoughts. Logan is in the presence of the one who died for us. Through eye and tissue donation, Logan has been able to improve the lives of 228 people! Being a donor was Logan’s last act of kindness. Logan never really liked to say goodbye but rather, “see ya later.”
