OSHIANA’S STORY

Oshiana Unique Thompkins was bold, her energy and personality magnetic. She lit up any room or environment that she entered. Oshi was passionate about family, friends, and her community and helping others. Oshiana was driven and had dreams that were in the works. Not only was she starting her own beauty line, she wanted to give back to her community, which she knew was in need. Unfortunately, the opportunity to live life and accomplish her goals and be the change she wanted to see in the world was taken from her on November 1, 2019, due to gun violence. Oshiana was able to give the gift of life to 4 individuals.

From that pain, Oshiana’s mom, Sparkle, has been blessed with the strength to continue her daughter’s legacy by going after the very goals she wished to achieve. She turned her pain into purpose and The Oshiana Unique Thompkins Foundation and Reach OUT Mode was created for the community of the East Bay area in California. The center strives to enhance the lives of at-risk youth and underserved families by providing necessary resources and hosting community outreach events.

Our mission is to empower people to enhance their health, help end hunger, and overcome hardships as a collective. We value supporting underserved youth and minority children for a better future and healing in their lives and community. We are excited to become a pillar in the community that will help transform and change the lives of so many.

The foundation extends prayers and peace to those suffering because dealing with loss never gets easy. You just learn how to cope and do your best to keep living for yourself while also honoring your loved one.
