ATHENA’S STORY

Athena Zepeda left this earth at only twenty years old. Athena was described as "pure sunshine." She had beautiful and captivating green eyes, she was an aspiring model and a trained MMA fighter. She had brains, beauty, and resilience. No matter what life threw at her, she always found a way to persevere and continue her life journey. Loved by many, the memories of Athena are forever ingrained in her loved ones' hearts and minds. On November 7, 2020, Athena overdosed at a party after unknowingly taking fentanyl, and the world lost a little bit of her sunshine. However, those who love Athena know she's alive in others, and her legacy continues. Through donation, Athena saved four people and healed many others. Her eyes blessed a woman in Chile with vision, her skin saved burn victims, her heart saved a young boy, and her kidneys, liver, and lungs also gave others a second chance at life. Although Athena is no longer on earth, her light still shines.
