PHILIP’S STORY
Philip Schwartz enjoyed computers, technology, movies, and playing pool. He loved eating out and was a regular at Brent's Deli, Maggiano's, and Buca de Beppo. Celebrating the Jewish holidays was a family tradition, and Philip always looked forward to attending the temple and enjoying a traditional home-cooked dinner.
Philp was a cheerful person with big brown eyes that struggled with epilepsy and had other special needs. He suffered from intense seizures most of his life, causing brain damage. Philip lost his young life on Thanksgiving 2020. While in a jacuzzi, he had a seizure and became unconscious.
Upon arrival, the paramedics were able to get a pulse, but Philip remained in a coma for several weeks. On December 16, 2020, Philip was declared brain dead. Philip received a pulse for a reason: to offer life to others.
He generously donated his heart, liver, and kidneys. The marker plaque at his grave has the "Donate Life" emblem, a reminder that Philip is a true hero offering life to others.
