JORDAN’S STORY

The Brister family is honored to share the memory of their son, Jordan Brister, with everyone. Jordan had one of the best belly laughs, paired with a side smirk that matched his witty, sarcastic personality. His laugh could lift anyone's mood and make you smile.

Jordan spent most of his life playing organized sports, including baseball, football, soccer, and track. He could master anything he set his mind to, and his goal was to become a pararescue jumper in the United States Air Force, saving the lives of the brave people who protect our country.

"Jord" was not a huge fan of school, but he was extremely smart and understood the importance of a solid education. He was fiercely loyal to his friends and family, had a huge heart, and hated to let anyone down. As a big brother and friend, he led people to uphold their integrity, act with a purpose, and never give up. Jordan was a confident young man, who carried a quiet pride. He had a clear vision of what he wanted to contribute to the world. In the end, he saved three lives through organ donation.

Jordan's memory lives on through his friends and families' stories and his family honors his memory through the "Once an Archer, Always an Archer" scholarship, which allows his school community to carry on his legacy each year. His family also works with the non-profit Vegas for Athletes to spread awareness of sudden cardiac arrest. This organization offers free heart screenings to local athletes as part of a movement to save more lives.
