SCOTT’S STORY
Scott Anthony McGreevy was a beloved grandson, son, brother, nephew, and friend whose time on earth ended far too soon at the age of 32. Born on February 21, 1984, in San Francisco, Scott was a proud third-generation San Franciscan who carried a deep love for his city, its people, and its teams. His journey was marked by challenges with addiction, depression, and anxiety, yet his life shone brightly with light, love, and laughter.
Scott had a beautiful smile, a quick wit, and a kind heart that left lasting impressions on everyone he met. From a young age, he showed compassion for others, stopping on city streets to share food with those in need. That selflessness continued throughout his life and was reflected in his decision to become an organ donor, a gift that saved three lives and contributed to medical research.
A devoted 49ers and Giants fan, Scott cheered passionately, often outside the ballpark with his face painted orange and black, determined to be part of the moment. He embraced life with energy and creativity by snowboarding at Lake Tahoe, dancing on San Francisco streets, and filling every space with his fearless spirit. As a personal trainer, he found joy in helping others grow stronger, celebrating their victories as his own.
Scott was a gentle soul who loved music, dancing, his family, and his dog Riku. He was deeply loved by his family and friends in San Francisco and the East Bay. His legacy lives on in the love he shared, the joy he spread, and the lives he touched through his kindness and generosity.
