SKYLAR’S STORY

Skylar Marie Holland Saunders was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 26, 2007. She was raised in Pasadena, California. She was a very happy baby. She had the best eyes and a smile that would light up the room. She was a beautiful, smart, and carefree young lady. Skylar was born an entertainer, singing and dancing at family gatherings. She loved hanging out with her cousins, aunts, and uncles. She loved going to summer camp and making TikTok videos with friends.

As a child, Skylar developed asthma. She would never let the asthma stop her from doing what she loved the most, hanging out with her friends. On December 9th, 2018, Skylar was hanging out with her best friend, having fun. That night, Skylar had a real bad asthma attack. She was declared brain dead due to a lack of oxygen. On December 12th, 2018, Skylar Marie Saunders passed away. Her family donated one of her kidneys to a friend of the family via direct donation. Her family will always remember her beautiful eyes, her smile, and her gracious presence. She will always be their greatest gift.
